Key job responsibilities
As a Visual UX Designer, you will be hands on, working alongside a talented team of designers, researchers and technologists focused on the digital aesthetics of our core device experiences. You will utilize your strong understanding of visual systems and best practices, including layout, color palette, typography, iconography and illustrations. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products. This role is based in Seattle, WA.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a keen eye for elegant, modern design, and UI patterns. You think holistically, and craft the "why" of all that we ship – advocating for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and customer goals. You have a strong understanding visual systems and best practices, including layout, typography and interface design. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract, building consensus, and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller, you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful, emotional connection between customers and our products.

- Have an available online portfolio
- 3+ years of experience delivering design solutions as a Visual Designer, UX Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar

- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Demonstrates experience crafting design concepts that inform the future vision for a digital product – and art directing motion designers, illustrators, and content creators.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
