Sr. Benefits Specialist
The Senior Benefits Specialist assists in the administration and communication of the organization's benefits programs. Working under limited supervision, this job helps to administer employee benefit offerings in adherence to related regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assists in the implementation of new benefits programs, as well as the administration of current benefits programs, to ensure employees have timely access to and relevant information on available benefit offerings.
- Analyzes benefits reporting on a consistent basis to ensure accurate reporting in the company's HR information system (HRIS) and notifies senior management of any reporting errors or concerns.
- Coordinates with benefit vendors to address employees' benefits-related questions or concerns and directly liaises with benefit vendors and/or employees as appropriate.
- Prepares benefits-related updates and recommendations on cost-saving options and investments for benefits and/or vendor offerings to better meet employee and/or company needs.
- Supports Annual Enrollment process including testing and review of enrollment websites and materials, confirmation of coverages with carriers/vendors, and close out of Annual Enrollment processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in corporate benefits administration or operations
- Advanced skills in MS Excel - pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience supporting benefits programs for companies with 500+ employees
- Banking or Financial Services background is strongly preferred
Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred
