Fortis College at Houston South is seeking an energetic and highly motivated person to join our Admissions Team. We are seeking a person with creativity, a high level of interpersonal communication skills, and strong computer and telephone skills.
The Admissions Advisor is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of qualified students on the campus. Duties include taking lead calls, developing relationships, tracking inquiries, managing enrollment activity and paperwork, reviewing financial options for prospects, and properly completing student files. You may also have the chance to represent the school in career fairs, job fairs, and other similar activities along with participating in student orientation and registration activities.
No prior admissions experience is required, but previous sales experience combined with exceptional customer service experience will help you be successful in this role.
Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective students through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
- Provide accurate information regarding academic programs, admissions requirements, and university policies.
- Assist students in completing their applications and ensure all necessary documentation is submitted.
- Collaborate with academic departments to stay informed about program updates and changes.
- Participate in recruiting events, such as college fairs and open houses, to promote the university's offerings.
- Maintain relationships with high schools and community organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50, $60,000.00 per year
