Peraton is seeking a Policy and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the BNATCS program operates within the highest standards of governance, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance. You will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures that align with FAA directives, federal regulations, and Peraton corporate requirements. This position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of compliance frameworks, federal program oversight, and risk management — someone who can advise senior leadership, shape organizational policy, and ensure consistent, auditable compliance across all BNATCS workstreams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance frameworks, governance structures, and policy initiatives in alignment with FAA and federal standards.

  • Monitor, interpret, and apply FAA orders, federal regulations, and contractual requirements to ensure full program compliance.

  • Develop and update internal policy documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance checklists.

  • Provide strategic guidance and compliance leadership to project and functional teams, ensuring adherence to all legal, ethical, and operational standards.

  • Conduct audits, assessments, and reviews to identify policy gaps, risks, and process improvement opportunities.

  • Prepare compliance reports, policy updates, and executive briefings for FAA and Peraton leadership.

  • Collaborate with engineering, program management, cybersecurity, and safety teams to ensure compliance requirements are integrated throughout system lifecycle activities.

  • Serve as a primary interface with FAA compliance offices, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

  • Track and report key compliance metrics, risk indicators, and corrective actions.

  • Lead investigations into policy violations or non-conformance incidents, recommending mitigation and remediation strategies.

  • Partner with training teams to deliver compliance and policy education across the program workforce.

  • Support proposal and new business activities by contributing compliance insights and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Drive continuous improvement in governance and policy effectiveness, aligning with evolving FAA and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA
  • 8+ years of experience in policy management, compliance oversight, or governance, preferably supporting federal aviation, transportation, or defense programs.

  • Strong knowledge of FAA policies, federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and compliance management systems.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing organizational policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage audits, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.

  • Proficiency in compliance and document management systems.

  • Strong presentation and report writing skills; able to brief senior government stakeholders with clarity and authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with FAA regulatory and compliance programs.

  • Certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality management frameworks.

  • Familiarity with risk management tools and federal policy development processes.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
