Mission:

Understand the global business strategy and lead the development of the salmon business in the U.S. market, by expanding both current and new sales channels such as wholesale, food service, and retail.

Key objectives of the position:

  • Build brand awareness and enhance the consumer experience for both regular and premium products.
  • Focus on the practical application of sales techniques and effective management of the company's commercial operations.
  • Sell the company's product portfolio and/or third-party services directly to end-user organizations.
  • Inform customers of new product or service launches and pricing updates.

Key Responsibilities and Expected Results:

  • Negotiate prices and volumes with customers, in line with company procedures, to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and manage a customer portfolio by visiting clients and increasing the number of active accounts.
  • Establish and maintain regular sales and volume programs with customers.
  • Travel within the U.S. to strengthen and expand client relationships.
  • Follow up on overdue payments to reduce the portfolio's outstanding balance.
  • Research market trends and propose new product developments to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Manage and resolve customer claims, including conducting inspections if necessary.
  • Regularly monitor inventory levels and take actions to reduce excess stock through sales.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

Languages:

  • English
  • Spanish.

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or related areas, preferably in the seafood or food industry.
  • Solid understanding of products and market dynamics.
  • Willingness and availability to travel within the Southeast region of the U.S.
