Position Overview

This position is first and foremost a selling role. We are seeking a confident, proactive Retail Store Associate who is energized by engaging clients, driving sales, and cultivating ongoing customer relationships. You will provide individualized product guidance, introduce clients to the brands' performance and design features, and actively work to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Relationship Building

  • Deliver a high-touch, client-focused selling experience
  • Actively engage clients to understand needs and recommend product solutions
  • Present features, fit and performance benefits of Capranea apparel and Dahu ski boots
  • Convert client interactions into sales and hit personal & store revenue targets
  • Build and maintain client books with notes, sizes, preferences and follow-up outreach
  • Support ongoing clienteling, including appointment-based selling when possible

Store Experience & Brand Presentation

  • Maintain a refined and intentional atmosphere consistent with premium alpine brands
  • Assist in visual merchandising, product placement, restocking and sizing organization
  • Support opening/closing procedures and operate the POS with accuracy and care

Qualifications

  • Prior sales experience required (premium or boutique retail strongly preferred)
  • Confident, polished communication style and strong client engagement presence
  • Enjoys proactive selling and building relationships—not just store coverage
  • Passion for skiing, outdoor lifestyle or premium apparel is a meaningful advantage
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak winter season hours
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs when needed
