Job DescriptionThe Race Crew Attendant is responsible for the daily operation of public and private NASTAR races. The Race Crew Attendant provides exceptional customer service and a positive experience on the racecourse while ensuring the highest level of safety for our guests. The ideal candidate will be an advanced/expert skier, no snowboarders, with the ability to move/carry equipment while skiing.
- Applications for this position will be accepted until October 31, 2025 for the Winter 25-26 season.
Essential Job Functions
- Daily setup, breakdown and maintenance of racecourses
- Transport race material to and from venues
- Meet and greet guests as they enter registration area
- Manage guest registration for races, collect and account for any associated race fees
- Provide race tips to inexperienced guests
- Time races and announce results
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience alpine racing or working for an alpine program helpful
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic computer & accounting skills preferred
- Snowmobile experience useful
- Advanced or above skiing ability required
- Able to work outdoors in variable weather conditions for extended periods of time required
- Fluent in English - verbal and written
- Other language skills a plus, especially Spanish
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
