Job Summary
The Systems Analyst will provide technical support in concert with the direction and leadership of the Director of IT or other designated Managers. The IT Systems Analyst will be responsible for efficiently designing, developing and delivering sustainable, scalable information system solutions for SLPT. The Systems Analyst will review SLPT's current computer systems and procedures and design information systems and solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently. The position will bring business and IT together by understanding the needs and limitations of both.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support all ERP, manufacturing, and quality applications
- Act as single point of contact between IT and customer
- Perform necessary business and system analysis to gather all pertinent data related to issues in production system, patches, upgrades, and enhancement
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and identify gaps between requirements and the application.
- Assist business partners with determining deliverables, creating system test plans, identifying test scenarios, managing user-acceptance testing and conducting production roll out of resolution
- Interact with team members, the user community and others on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate identification and delivery of business requirements
- Make formal recommendations and write application specifications, including conversion, upgrade and interface routines
- Automate repetitive processes through efficient use of electronic systems
- Perform detailed design activities for specific IT applications
- Identify root causes and resolve technical issues that adversely affect current applications
- Train and coach users on the proper function of software applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement impactful IT solutions throughout the organization
- Manage and maintain databases (MS SQL, PLEX)
- Develop programs to link software and/or data
- Assist with the implementation of the necessary defined security controls as they relate to the client infrastructure in accordance with the Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM) systems.
- Protect the organization's value and data by keeping information confidential
- Ability to handle information of sensitive and confidential nature in the utmost professional manner.
- Assist with help desk when needed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Knowledge
- BS degree in Computer Science
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with minimum direction
- Ability to establish effective, ongoing relationships with clients, staff and management
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure in high stress situations
Experience/Skills
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing information solutions
- MS SQL – maintaining and updating
- ERP applications (PLEX preferred)
- Database installation and maintenance (MS SQL)
- Programming – SQL, VB, Python, C/C++
- Knowledge of hardware, software, infrastructure and industry standards
- Ability to translate complex technology concepts into understandable terms
- Demonstrated problem solving, judgment and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide high quality, independent analysis, conclusions and recommendations
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
