We're hiring a seasoned Lead HVAC Service Technician to join our team in the Charlotte Area. This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced professional—someone with 3+ years working in commercial and residential HVAC maintenance, repair, and service. In this leadership role, you'll handle advanced service tasks, provide mentorship to junior team members, and ensure top-notch work across a range of commercial and residential sites.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and residential HVAC systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues with lasting, efficient solutions.
  • Conduct regular system inspections, perform preventative maintenance, and handle urgent repair needs to keep systems running efficiently.
  • Supervise and support junior technicians, offering on-the-job training, technical guidance, and leadership.
  • Clearly communicate with clients about system performance, needed repairs, and cost estimates.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data.
  • Knowledge of ductwork systems and functions.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local code requirements.
  • Collaborate with dispatchers, project leads, and office staff to schedule work and ensure timely project completion.
  • Keep accurate records of diagnostics, services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Stay informed on evolving HVAC technologies and best practices to enhance service capabilities.

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial and residential HVAC experience, including diagnostics and repair.
  • EPA 608 Certification is required; additional certifications (OSHA, etc.) are a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills, choosing to be attentive, patient, friendly, empathetic, and communicative with each client.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and building automation systems (BAS).
  • Developed troubleshooting abilities with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Clear and professional communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel across the Charlotte Area for service work.
