Executive Director – Luther Village (Arlington Heights, IL)

Luther Village, a premier independent senior living community in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our operations and ensure the highest level of service for our 650 residents.

Position Overview:

The General Manager/Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Luther Village, including financial management, human resources, facilities, IT, and resident services. This individual will provide strong leadership to department managers and staff while fostering a culture of excellence, respect, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct overall operations of the community, ensuring smooth and efficient performance across all departments.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Oversee human resources functions, including staffing, employee engagement, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to implement strategic goals and policies.
  • Ensure high standards of service, safety, and satisfaction for residents and their families.
  • Promote a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in operations in hotel or senior living management.
  • Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets and achieve results.
  • Human resources knowledge, including employee relations and compliance.
  • Excellent managerial, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with older adults is highly desirable.
  • Hospitality background a plus.
  • Experience working with HOAs or Board of Directors preferred.
