Piper Companies is seeking a Clinical Pathologist to join a leading clinical research organization committed to advancing diagnostic medicine. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days onsite in Farmingdale, NY. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge clinical pathology services within a collaborative and innovative laboratory environment.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Pathologist include:

  • Perform expert diagnostic evaluations in clinical pathology, including interpretation of laboratory data and oversight of testing methodologies
  • Collaborate with research and clinical teams to provide pathology insights that support diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic development
  • Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, and other regulatory standards across clinical laboratory operations
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement in laboratory practices
  • Participate in clinical chemistry and pathology reviews, supporting both routine and specialized testing protocols

Qualifications for the Clinical Pathologist include:

  • MD or DO with board certification in Clinical Pathology (American Board of Pathology) or Clinical Chemistry certification
  • Eligible for or holding a New York state medical license
  • Strong foundation in anatomic pathology; fellowship training welcome
  • Open to candidates coming directly out of fellowship who meet core qualifications
  • Background in hospital or industry settings acceptable; management experience not required

Compensation for the Clinical Pathologist:

  • Salary Range: $275,000/year - $325,000/year based on experience
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K
