We are seeking a part-time Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team

Overview:

This position secures revenue by invoicing customers and handling all aspects of Accounts Receivable and will assist with other accounting functions as needed.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Serves as the backup for the Accounting Assistant such as answering phones & greeting guests and other tasks that may arise
  • Posts daily customer payments by recording cash, checks, credit card transactions, lockbox receipts, and ACH/Wire deposits.
  • Monitors the invoice workbench
  • Sends out customer AR statements
  • Monitor/manage the Cash Account US704016
  • Responsible for credit hold/block releases
  • Verifies the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service, warranty and returns, shipping departments and from customers; Obtains resolution on all discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Communicates with appropriate Sales Managers regarding customer accounts
  • Prepares and enters various customer credits & debits
  • Responsible for handling collections of all delinquent customer accounts
  • Assist with customer audit request, credits references, and surveys
  • Assist with new customer set ups
  • Responsible for invoicing all customer orders (after performing 3-way matches) and sending out all invoices to customers (via mail, email, EDI, etc)
  • Assists with internal and external audits
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Education/Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent work experience 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Highly motivated & energetic
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • SAP Enterprise system knowledge preferred
