Job Opening:
Currently hiring for per diem, part time or full time therapist at a busy and growing outpatient mental health clinic in Stuart. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, excited to provide clinical services to a variety of ages and mental health conditions, and eager to provide evidenced-based practices to help client's reach their goals.
Position Summary:
An Outpatient Mental Health Therapist provides professional counseling and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups dealing with a variety of mental health issues. This role involves assessing clients' mental health needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. The therapist works within a multidisciplinary team to support clients in achieving their mental health goals and improving their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client goals.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and criteria, such as the DSM-5TR, to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Provide evidence-based individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.
- Implement various therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, or other appropriate modalities.
- Adjust therapeutic techniques and interventions to best fit client needs and cultural backgrounds.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including staff psychiatrists/PMHNPs/PAs, and refer for a variety of services within iMind.
- Refer clients to external resources and services as needed,
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Prepare reports and summaries for client reviews, court cases, and other purposes as required.
- Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation to enhance clinical skills and ensure quality of care.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
- If Licensed, a valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required
- At least 2-3 years of experience in providing outpatient mental health therapy preferred.
- Experience with specific populations (e.g., children, adolescents, adults, couples, families) may be required depending on the position.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain professional boundaries.
- Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse client backgrounds.
- Capacity to handle high-stress situations and manage crises effectively.
Work Environment:
- Stylish and modern outpatient office
- May require some evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Pay is per face-to-face clinical service
- We consider full time to be 32+ face-to-face clinical services, Part time 20+ face to face clinical services, and per diem to be anything under the 20 hours.
