What You'll Do

  • Installs, upgrades, and manages PTC Windchill PDMLink (Product Data and Lifecycle Management) and Creo Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications.
  • Designs, develops, and modifies workflows, approval processes, and configurations within PDMLink and applications interfacing with PDMLink.
  • Provides customer support as necessary, including certain business and system administration functions.
  • Monitors the various systems to be sure they are functioning at a satisfactory response level and are functioning during normal work hours.
  • Suggests system level improvements to increase system throughput and performance.
  • Monitors and maintains licenses in compliance with PTC requirements and licensing.
  • Works closely with functional and business team members, project management, enterprise architects, system engineers, and application developers to design and develop enterprise solutions based on approved architecture and business requirements.
  • Demonstrates innovation when designing solutions and solving complex IT problems.
  • The position requires a high level of technical expertise and support for the software quality assurance and software engineering life cycle including conceptual design, requirements definition, functional and computer system design, systems development and programming, implementation, testing, installation, and configuration management associated with enterprise level solutions.
  • Collaborates closely with Cybersecurity professionals to ensure infrastructure and applications, including Windchill PDMLink and Creo, remain secure and compliant with cybersecurity policies
  • Monitors current and future trends in technology to the benefit of the organizational project and production systems service goals.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • OR a Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline.
  • Ten or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
  • Onsite presence required (some telework possible).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level clearance.
  • Possible travel up to 30%.

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Experience with installation, management, and user and system support of PTC applications PDMLink and Creo.
  • Experience with other PLM systems (Dassault Enovia or Siemens Teamcenter) and CAD software (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks) can be substituted for PTC product experience with a willingness to learn how the PTC products work.
  • Design, development, and modification of workflows within PDMLink and knowledge of Windchill integration development and tools (Windchill REST Services).
  • Knowledgeable about Windchill integrations to ERP/MRP or MES systems.
  • Experience with Creo-Windchill publishing integrations.
  • Experience managing Arbortext integration with Windchill.
  • Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and/or Product Data Management (PDM) systems and processes.
  • Solid understanding of Digital Twin, Digital Thread, and Industry 4.0 implementations
  • Programming languages and frameworks (Java, JavaScript, JQuery, JSP, HTML5, XML, etc.).
  • Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studio and Eclipse.
  • Scripting skills to help automate manual tasks.
  • Version control tools such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories.
  • Oracle or other relational database management systems with experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Web server technologies such as Apache Tomcat.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server administrative utilities to diagnose problems.
  • Experience with working in a virtual environment and performing system upgrades in that environment.
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ITIL processes in an Agile/Scrum team implementing methodologies/tools (Jira, Confluence).
