Position Description

Job Title: Finance Associate

Department: Finance

Reports To: Finance Controller

Location: Corporate Office, Gainesville FL

Job Summary: This position reports to the company's Finance Controller. The successful candidate must be able to work well with others in a collaborative work environment and be an effective communicator across all levels of the organization. This position will have the opportunity to interact with upper management and external stakeholders, which will provide a unique opportunity for professional development in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The Finance Associate is responsible for the various cost accounting and related functions associated with sales, cost of goods sold, variances and inventories, as well as assisting with month end general ledger close, finance reports and other activities as assigned.

  • Maintain Accounts email and vendor management
  • Maintain invoicing system for entry of invoices and review accuracy.
  • Create POs as requested by team members
  • Create Invoices for customers
  • Conduct inventory analysis to solve inventory problems
  • Maintain other daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Support Month End Close
  • Support the Controller in preparation of Board of Directors meeting package

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field preferred
  • Experience in a finance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Preferred experience in cost accounting
  • Good organizational, analytical problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people.
  • Willing to work extra hours as project or production needs dictate.
  • Availability for travel
  • Passion towards driving continuous improvement.

Working Conditions: This position may require occasional travel. The role may also involve working outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines and handle urgent issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
