Job Summary
Fabricate aircraft upholstery, found in VIP class aircraft, to industry standards using tools common to the industry. Recover, re-build, pattern and sew to specifications provided in sketches, drawings or engineering orders for seats, divans, side ledges and other interior soft goods.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates custom seat patterns and foam for a variety of aircraft and seat models
  • Sews and covers seats and interior panels using high-end leathers and fabrics
  • Cuts foam to conform to seat specifications
  • Cuts and fits, surges and binds carpets within the aircraft as required
  • Assist team members with removal and installation of interior components of the aircraft

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Ability to work from written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to document work performed in computer system
  • Detail oriented with the ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness and ability to adjust work processes to provide level of required detail and quality
  • Strong ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work individually, with a healthy sense of urgency to provide a quality product

Other Prerequisites

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to wear a respirator or air hood, and work in a confined environment
