Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Post - Overnight Shift in Concord, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for all visitors and tenants. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting access control and responding to alarm panels. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities throughout the location, reporting any suspicious activity or potential hazards in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Document incidents and complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist building management and/or tenants with inquiries or requests related to security-related matters.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on patrol to help to deter potential disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
