Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging and diagnostic evaluation, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. As a Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing advanced imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses.

Duties

  • Conduct DEXA scans and PET scans while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately position patients and optimize imaging results.
  • Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infection.
  • Interpret medical terminology effectively to communicate with team members and document findings accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss imaging results and contribute to diagnostic evaluations.
  • Maintain equipment in optimal working condition through regular checks, calibration, and necessary repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear medicine protocols and regulatory requirements in all imaging practices.
  • Foster a compassionate environment for patients, addressing their concerns and providing clear instructions throughout the imaging process.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Technician in a healthcare setting, particularly in medical imaging or nuclear medicine.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
  • Familiarity with DEXA scan and PET scan procedures is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic techniques and adherence to safety protocols in clinical environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks performed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $37.00 per hour
