The Program Manager is responsible for new product & process introduction, including deliverables and associated change management activities (i.e., engineering changes) over the product life cycle. They are also responsible for evaluating tooling/capital, manufacturing process flow and layout inputs to drive the accuracy of product costing during product life cycle, along with Engineering and Purchasing, and acting as the key spokesperson for plant project deliverable status updates and escalation of the issues to the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Complies with all the Anchor Principles and Guidelines, as well as Anchor policies and procedures.
  • Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of a large and important project or a program represented by a number of small projects with many complex features.
  • Collaborates with various functions and departments, assigns tasks to personnel to specific phases or aspects of the project
  • Delegate responsibility and monitor performance and deliverables for key program inputs.
  • Ensures assigned programs attain established goals with a clear focus on quality, cost, delivery, and complete customer satisfaction. Coordinate activities with internal and external resources as needed.
  • Reviews new designs for the compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer specifications.
  • Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
  • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
  • Prepares interim and completion project reports.
  • Direct customer communication. Single point of contact for problem and issue resolution. Open issue documentation, review, and resolution.
  • Liaison between plant/engineering and customer.
  • Identification/communication of customer direction and concerns to organization.
  • Platform/Program reviews with senior staff.
  • Compilation and maintenance of statement of work.
  • Tracks key deadlines and issues using open issue lists and program timelines.
  • Manages weekly and monthly meetings for program review and communication. Publishes minutes and program updates.
  • Maintains and publishes APQP status reports. Tracks APQP deliverable and scheduling.
  • Attends design and interface meetings at customer locations.
  • Attends customer engineering and purchasing/Sales meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably with course of study in Program Management or Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in Launch or Program Management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple program launches simultaneously.
  • Must have experience with gate reviews, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, TS16949, etc.
  • Experience with problem solving methodologies and tools, including 8D, Fault Tree Analysis, Ishikawa Diagrams, Cause/Effect, 5-Why, etc.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, Shainin, etc.
  • Experience with mechanical presses, welding, assembly, coil processing equipment, and associated material handling equipment and automation required.
  • Ability to read prints and understand GD&T, model visualization and engineering standards as they relate to the customer projects.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence individuals without direct reporting relationships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $120,000.00 per year
