Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they walk in.
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, provide product demos when applicable, and suggest additional items through upselling techniques to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory counts to keep the store well-organized.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing support remotely.
  • Support team members by supervising or assisting during busy periods, ensuring smooth store operations.
  • Promote a positive shopping environment by engaging customers in friendly conversation and offering personalized assistance.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to cash handling, product storage, and store cleanliness to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
  • Familiarity with POS systems or willingness to learn new technology quickly.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to address inquiries professionally.
  • Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively.
  • Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
