Senior Specialist, Accounts Payable

Your Mission On The Finance Team
The Senior Specialist, Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate processing of all AP activities. This role coordinates end-to-end invoice processing: coding, reviewing, reconciliations, and payments. They will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve discrepancies, clear aged or prepaid POs, and manage vendor set up and maintenance. This role will also partner closely with our Music department on royalties and advances.
Your Day-to-day
- Oversee timely processing of all ongoing AP workload and ensure proper invoice coding, documentation, approval, 3-way matching for PO invoices, and month-end cut-off.
- Partner closely with the Music department to address, resolve, and follow-up on royalties payments, advances, and discrepancies.
- Review invoices to log accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, VAT, and SRED to support Accounting with month-end close.
- Onboard new and update existing vendors within the system.
- Review and reconcile supplier statements and work with internal teams to support escalations and clear aged or prepaid POs.
- Process weekly customer refunds, bi-weekly and ad-hoc payments, check signing/mailing, and reprocessing of returned ACH/checks.
- Review (test basis) T&E expense reports and check approvals.
- Develop a solid understanding of the AP-Royalties workflow and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency.
- Provide guidance on AP policies/procedures.
- Monitor controls to ensure accuracy and prevent payment fraud.
- Train/mentor junior AP team members.
- Support the evaluation and testing new functional features on systems.
- Support other Finance department functions/additional duties as assigned.
Your Profile
- 4+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Skilled in inventory and non-inventory processing, expense report review, and 3-way matching within ERP systems.
- Knowledge of general accounting practices.
- Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Exemplifies strong leadership skills and alignment to company Core Values.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, while being dependable, respectful and accountable.
- Quick learner who adapts to changing priorities with flexibility and patience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, NetSuite, and Concur.
