Robotics Engineer

Overview:
The Robot Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for robotic applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with customer supplied Robot logic, I/O database, etc. and creating robot control configuration and robot network architecture
- Produce robot controls engineering designs and modifications by identifying project objectives and issues
- Support sales in developing robot simulation to create a sound process
- Research and develop robot controls engineering techniques and approaches
- Verifying and validating designs
- Partner with Controls Engineer to design proven communication techniques
- Configure and program robot control software
- Program robot control sequences
- Provide robot system documentation
- Test and Implement robot safety practices
- Testing and debug
- Customer training and support
- Sound technical, troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and advance several projects in parallel
- Any additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications & Experience:
Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 – 7 years of direct field experience or equivalent
- Experience with FANUC, ABB, Kawasaki or equivalent
- Experience with Robot Vision guidance or equivalent
- Robot simulation software knowledge or equivalent
