The primary role of the Quality Technician is to inspect FANUC products to ensure FAC customers receive a robot/product free of defects that meets engineering specifications.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and improve FAC quality through a comprehensive quality management process
- Assist manufacturing and engineering to gather data for resolving problems that are detected during the course of production and final quality inspections.
- Conduct random quality audits on production processes and assemblies for compliance and effectiveness.
- Recommend improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Understand manufacturing assembly and test process by work center.
- Navigate through all manufacturing control plans.
- Identify difference between guidelines and engineering specifications.
- Review data collection for passing results of Product EX (defined) testing specifications.
- Complete Final Quality Inspection Checklist and Enhanced Inspection Checklists
- Monitor work-in-process to ensure compliance with manufacturing workmanship standards.
- Communicate quality issues to manufacturing supervision.
- Help drive correction actions including documentation updates to eliminate quality issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Investigate and report findings.
- Complete work orders in Oracle ERP.
- Report completed units ready for disposition
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Technical certificate in manufacturing or engineering disciplines or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years in quality assurance / inspection role within a related industry.
- Experience leading / interfacing with multiple work centers / departments and across multiple locations.
- Level of quality technician is based on demonstrated skills, performance, product knowledge, and FAC quality system knowledge.
- Lifting and handling of parts up to and exceeding 50lbs.
