Job Summary:
As a Network Field Engineer specializing in Quality Assurance, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the performance of our industry-leading wireless and fiber networks. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and quality of network infrastructure through audits, and proactive maintenance. Main goal is to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
QA testing and validation
of network hardware installations to ensure compliance with Verizon standards.
- Conduct
routine audits
and inspections of cell sites and network facilities to identify and resolve potential issues. - Analyze network coverage and performance data to detect gaps and recommend improvements.
- Execute
preventative maintenance
and troubleshooting of Verizon Network Deployment. - Ensure
documentation accuracy
and maintain detailed reports of QA findings and corrective actions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvements and support network transformation initiatives.
- Adhere to industry-wide and company-specific directives to maintain high network performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in telecommunications.
- 5+ Years of Verizon Network Operations, Maintenance or Deployment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field locations.
Preferred:
- Technical degree in Electronics or Telecommunications.
- Experience with Telecom technologies and base station equipment (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson).
- Proficiency in fiber testing tools (OTDR, ODM, fiberscope) and RF analysis (PIM/VSWR/MIMO).
- Familiarity with scripting, router/switch configuration, and power systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in QA processes.
