Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease. As a CNA/HHA, you will play a crucial role in delivering personalized care while ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients in both home and community settings.

Duties

  • Provide compassionate assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Observe and report changes in patient conditions, ensuring accurate documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with vital sign monitoring to maintain optimal health for clients.
  • Support individuals with developmental disabilities by implementing care plans tailored to their unique needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation tasks.
  • Utilize Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices safely to support mobility and transfers for clients.
  • Deliver specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, focusing on memory care techniques.
  • Uphold compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a CNA or HHA is required; nursing home experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Certification in CPR is mandatory; additional training in hospice care or long-term care is advantageous.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring home health services is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
