The Clean Energy Buyers Association is a business association with a mission to activate a community of energy customers and partners to advance low-cost, reliable, carbon emissions-free global energy systems. The Clean Energy Buyers Institute is an affiliated public benefit charity that advances low-cost, reliable, carbon emissions-free global energy systems.

Reporting to the Director of Global Programs, the Program Manager will support the rapid expansion and maximize the impact of the Clean Energy Procurement Academy (The Academy). The Academy is a comprehensive clean energy procurement education program focused on training supply chain companies in priority countries in the Asia Pacific region to help companies decarbonize their supply chains in some of the most carbon-intensive power grids in the world. This role will be responsible for managing the Academy's end-to-end virtual and in-person education programs, including design, execution, and evaluation. 

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and oversee the planning and execution of the Academy's in-person and virtual clean energy customer training programs within established project plans, timelines, and budgets 
  • Manage relationships with implementing partners in multiple countries to ensure that curriculum content development and delivery is to the highest CEBA standards.
  • In collaboration with subject matter experts, ensure our comprehensive training curriculum is accurate, complete, up-to-date and consistent across programs by keeping abreast of industry trends in a quickly evolving clean energy space 
  • Lead stakeholder outreach and engagement as well as planning, design, and facilitation of external convenings  
  • Liaise with internal teams (Communications, Global Policy and Markets, etc.), external partners, and stakeholders to gather requirements, align objectives, and ensure effective communication for the training programs.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Track progress and identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the program's impact and effectiveness.
  • Develop and present reports on program progress, outcomes, and key metrics to senior management and funders. 
  • Support the Academy's strategic planning and fundraising efforts by providing thought leadership on a range of priorities, including but not limited to supply chain engagement and clean energy procurement 
  • Lead the growth and development of CEBA Global Program colleagues through effective leadership, coaching, guidance, and daily engagement 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • 7-10 years of proven experience in project management, preferably in the clean energy sector, with a focus on training or educational programs 
  • Experience in sustainability and/or clean energy in the APAC region  
  • Proven ability to deliver resources, tools, and platforms to provide guidance for organizations seeking to procure clean energy  
  • Understanding of global energy markets and clean energy solutions
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines 
  • Outstanding communication skills, adaptable to different audiences 
  • Shared commitment to CEBA's core values of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence (RISE)
  • This role requires domestic and international travel for up to 20% annually 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated experience in or understanding of supply chain engagement and/or corporate clean energy procurement, particularly in APAC 
  • Demonstrated ability in managing education and training programs 
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation of programs to report results

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

May be expected to supervise Coordinator(s) and Associate(s)

Our Salary and Benefits:

Compensation for the Manager, Global Programs, ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 as a base salary, depending on experience and qualifications. All CEBA employees are eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan, which is based on both organizational and individual performance. The HR Specialist may also receive a discretionary bonus of up to 10%, contingent on individual and company performance.
