Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Event Sales Assistant to join our team in an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or early-career hospitality professionals. This position offers exposure to high-end event sales and the opportunity to learn from seasoned industry leaders. You'll provide essential support to the sales department while building the foundation to grow into an Event Sales Coordinator role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with proposals, client communication, and scheduling.
  • Assist in managing event details, contracts, and administrative tasks.
  • Shadow senior sales managers during client consultations and site tours.
  • Learn to prepare presentations and proposals using Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
  • Assist with event logistics coordination including catering, décor, and AV.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to both in-house and off-site events across San Diego's most iconic venues.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or 0–1 years of hospitality, events, or sales experience (internships welcome).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Canva a plus.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and a strong desire to start a career in event sales.

Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
