Sr Business Data Analyst

The Product Security Team is seeking a
Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst / Developer
to support the creation of a KPI dashboard that consolidates data from multiple sources across the organization. This short-term role will focus on data extraction, transformation, and visualization to provide actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy a KPI dashboard using Tableau or a comparable business intelligence tool (e.g., Power BI, Looker).
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to pull, clean, and aggregate data from multiple internal systems and databases.
  • Use JQL (Jira Query Language) to extract and integrate relevant data from Jira.
  • Utilize Python scripts or APIs to pull structured data from Jama for reporting and visualization.
  • Partner with functional leads (e.g., Product, Quality, Security, Operations) to identify and define key metrics.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all sources.
  • Deliver a scalable and maintainable dashboard with clear visual storytelling for executive and operational use.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or BI Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Tableau (or other BI platforms), JQL (Jira), and Python (for data integration).
  • Experience working with data from multiple systems and formats (e.g., relational databases, APIs, spreadsheets).
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud data environments (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS Redshift).
  • Background in reporting for product, security, or quality metrics is a plus.
