As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Guard Cardholder in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned government locations to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $26.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the designated government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
• Interact with visitors, employees, and contractors to provide assistance while maintaining access control protocols.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as part of security-related responsibilities.
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain proficiency in the use of assigned equipment and security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
