Requirements

To apply for a position, candidates must possess or be willing to obtain a Independent Life Insurance Specialist before starting work. The Hadder Agency offers partial reimbursement for licensing costs after the training period is completed. To succeed as an Independent Life Insurance Specialist, a combination of interpersonal and technical skills is essential:

To become an independent life insurance agent, you need to:

1. **Meet Basic Requirements**

  • **Age:** At least 18 years old.
  • **Education:** High school diploma or GED.

2. **Complete Pre-Licensing Education**

  • Enroll in state-required courses on life insurance and insurance laws. Check your state's Department of Insurance for cost and hours.

3. **Pass the State Licensing Exam**

**Claims Assistance:**
