We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Maintenance Director to join our facilities management team. In this vital role, you will support the overall maintenance operations across manufacturing and industrial facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Duties

  • Assist the Maintenance Director in planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities across all facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), low voltage, and high voltage equipment.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors, providing clear guidance and ensuring adherence to safety standards, schematics, and technical procedures.
  • Oversee the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track asset histories, and optimize maintenance workflows.
  • Troubleshoot complex industrial machinery using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; perform repairs on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems.
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan; coordinate with manufacturing teams for minimal production disruption.
  • Lead projects related to facilities upgrades or new installations by applying project management principles and coordinating with vendors or internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical work (including high voltage), low voltage systems, and industrial maintenance standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance environments with strong supervising skills.
  • Extensive mechanical knowledge coupled with hands-on experience in electrical troubleshooting—especially with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, ohmmeters, and electrical systems including high and low voltage.
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance management and scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, facilities management practices, and industrial safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication skills in English; capable of guiding teams effectively across diverse projects.
  • Experience in manufacturing settings or large-scale industrial environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately; experience working with industrial automation is a plus.
  • Project management skills for coordinating maintenance initiatives from planning through execution.
