Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior Azure Engineer
Location: Birmingham, AL (Hybrid)
Experience: 10+ years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML for scalable and reliable software delivery.
- Administer Azure DevOps Services including Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and Artifacts, and manage Azure roles and permissions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates or Terraform.
- Monitor and optimize Azure environments for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards across all DevOps practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline release processes and improve deployment velocity.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure setups, CI/CD workflows, and DevOps processes.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and data protection.
Required Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience in Azure DevOps (minimum 5 years), including Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and Artifacts.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and governance policies.
- Expertise in Git and version control strategies for collaborative development.

2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.
3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.
4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.
