Overview

A Patient Success Technician is the main point of contact for patients, they act as the patients advocate and are there to support the patient throughout their treatment journey and beyond.

Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to providing exceptional medication management, monitoring, and wellness services such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato to help you on your journey to optimal health.

Responsibilities

  • Previous knowledge preferred, but training and certifications will be provided for the right candidate
  • Administer TMS or Spravato therapy treatments according to specific physician protocols. Set up treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
  • Monitor all aspects of TMS and Spravato treatments to ensure patient wellbeing and clinical accuracy.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care at all times by demonstrating empathy, developing trust, providing support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety.
  • Schedule patients (both over the phone and in person), as well as conducting patient checkout procedures.
  • Review and administer psychiatric rating scales (i.e., PHQ-9, QIDS-SR16) to patients.
  • Learn to track blood pressure and patient response.
  • Learn to identify and resolve any adverse effects related to patient discomfort during treatment and notify the doctor or provider.
  • Assist in the management of adverse effects including seizures for TMS.
  • Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation to accept standards of practice, accurately, legibly, and by established timelines on electronic health record (EHR) system and paper as needed.
  • Learn to assist/assist psychiatrists by gathering and reviewing medical records to aid in appropriate patient selection.
  • Successfully complete training/operations of control settings of Neurostar TMS device.
  • Correctly position the TMS coil and administer validated rating scales to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment.
  • Log recorded information for Spravato treatments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be personable and able to connect with patients to make them feel comfortable
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Experience in the medical field preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Flexibility and willingness to be cross-trained in multiple practice areas
  • Previous knowledge or experience with TMS machines is preferred, but training and certification will be provided to the right candidate
  • Previous knowledge or experience with Spravato esketamine therapy is preferred, but training and certification will be provided to the right candidate
