Do you enjoy taking things apart to understand how they work—and putting them back together better than before?

Chapman Windows Doors & Siding is hiring a Service Technician to perform service, warranty repairs, and troubleshooting on residential windows and doors. Prior service technician experience is not required. We're looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn. We provide paid, hands-on, on-the-job training for the right candidate.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and service residential windows and doors
  • Perform warranty repairs on installed products
  • Repair or replace hardware including hinges, handles, closers, screens, and mechanisms
  • Assist with window and door installations as needed
  • Use hand tools and power tools daily
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners on-site
  • Work closely with the Warranty Service Coordinator to diagnose issues
  • Coordinate with supplier service departments when needed

Service technician experience is a plus—but not required.

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience with wood, vinyl, composite, or similar materials a plus
  • Ability to read basic mechanical diagrams or plans
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (this is non-negotiable)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and scaffolding
  • Travel to residential job sites within a set service area

Pay: $ $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
