JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Accounting Manager plans and directs daily accounting activities for the Company with the Director of Finance. The Senior Accounting Manager works with the Director of Finance and the CFO to ensure the goals and objectives for the accounting operations of the company are met effectively and efficiently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Director of Finance in overseeing and managing the daily tasks in the accounting department.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage month end closing processes as well as end of year processes.
  • Coordinate production of monthly financial statements.
  • Supervise and mentor other accounting staff.
  • Assist with internal control procedures as necessary.
  • Assist in System Implementations as required.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Assist the Director of Finance to coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Develops and maintains professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
  • Ensures work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  • Works safely, including clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintains regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings.
  • Maintains professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 – 5 years supervisory experience required in an accounting role.
  • Casino Accounting experience a plus
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
  • Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire Lottery Commission badge
