Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office processes and possess knowledge of medical terminology. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our medical practice.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner

  • Schedule patient appointments using medical scheduling systems

  • Assist with medical receptionist duties at the front desk

  • Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially

-Assisting healthcare providers with administrative tasks, such as preparing treatment rooms and organizing patient files.

  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow

  • Handle administrative tasks to support the medical office operations

-Handling billing and insurance claims, as well as processing payments.

-Managing inventory of office and medical supplies.

-Following up with patients regarding their appointments and test results.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar role is preferred

  • Knowledge of Athena software or similar medical clinic systems is a plus

  • Familiarity with medical office procedures and terminology

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
