Kanban Operations Manager, Kuiper Fulfilment, Project Kuiper

Key job responsibilities
• Manage and optimize Kanban systems to ensure material availability for production operations
• Hire, support, mentor, and motivate hourly workforce, promoting a culture of inclusion, innovation and performance
• Oversee daily execution of material replenishment operations with a focus on safety and quality
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels through Kanban system management
• Implement and improve pull systems for production material flow
• Gather, trend and report Kanban metrics/KPIs to promote improvement initiatives
• Drive efficiency through process improvements and root cause analysis
• Manage team goals and critical metrics to ensure business success
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
• Conduct employee reviews, hiring, and disciplinary functions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for material management systems
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of direct management experience
• Experience with Kanban systems and inventory management
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ years of ERP experience, especially in SAP
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective coaching and mentoring skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
