Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. This role requires a highly responsible individual with a strong background in security operations, conflict management, and emergency response. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, quick response to incidents, and effective communication. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to serve in a dynamic environment where safety is the top priority.

Duties

  • Conduct regular patrols of the designated area to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
  • Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies or security incidents
  • Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee premises and detect potential threats
  • Enforce access control policies by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs
  • Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid or CPR if necessary
  • Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required
  • Prevent loss and theft through effective loss prevention strategies
  • Manage conflicts professionally, de-escalating situations to ensure safety for all parties involved
  • Conduct security checks on equipment and facilities to ensure operational readiness

Skills

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
  • Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV operation and monitoring systems
  • Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or high-stress situations
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with the public, staff, and emergency responders
  • Familiarity with security equipment and technology such as alarm systems and access control systems
  • Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond quickly when needed
