Seeking an experienced and strategic Cloud Infrastructure Lead to join our team. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in Azure, demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional initiatives, and expertise in designing resilient infrastructure solutions and implementing disaster recovery strategies. The Cloud Infrastructure Lead will play a critical role in ensuring our systems are high-performing, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions to meet the needs of the business, primarily leveraging Azure PaaS and IaaS services.
  • Deploy and maintain Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, Managed SQL Instances, Virtual Machines, Key Vaults, and Logic Apps.
  • Design, implement, and maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively track application performance and system health.
  • Administer Entra ID and create Application Registrations, Enterprise Applications, and Managed Identities to secure the organization's applications.
  • Implement and support cloud network and security services, including Azure Firewall, Azure Front Door, Application Gateways, and Network Security Groups.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Bicep to automate cloud resource provisioning and other processes.
  • Lead complex cross-team initiatives to evaluate new system architectures and emerging technologies and drive disaster recovery and business continuity improvements.
  • Lead incident response to ensure issues are communicated and resolved expediently.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team.
  • Create and enforce cloud governance policies and optimize costs.
  • Respond to security alerts to eradicate threats within the environment, remediate vulnerabilities, and oversee Cloud Security Posture Management.
  • Create and maintain system architecture and procedural documentation.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and perform off-hours support and maintenance as required.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience working in Information Technology roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting the Azure Cloud Computing Platform with an emphasis on AKS, Managed SQL Instances, and other PaaS services.
  • Advanced knowledge of network and security protocols and expertise with Azure private networking, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall.
  • Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code tools, and scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management best practices and experience with Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with M365 and Cisco Meraki networking administration is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, CCNA) are a plus.
