Position Summary

The Compliance Manager is responsible for oversight of the Vendor Onboarding, Vendor Compliance and Vendor Claims teams. This includes directing compliance programs, policies, and practices and assisting with auditing the contract motor carrier partner's documentation during onboarding and carrier maintenance processes. To be successful in this role, you should have experience of the operations of Last-Mile Delivery locations and Onboarding of motor carriers along with a good understanding of FMCSA requirements with great communication and documentation skills. Ultimately, this position will maintain and improve our brand, ensuring that we onboard quality contract motor carriers that will contribute to our company�s growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Establish compliance procedures and develop organizational strategies to ensure company compliance with contractual requirements and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Review all the required documents of motor carrier contractors
  • Follow up internally and externally when needed to ensure timely and seamless compliance
  • Manage all communication with the current motor carrier partners, dock leadership, and Ops Management
  • Supporting the other team members in managing our shared services team while managing productivity through data analysis
  • Manage up to 3 direct reports including punctuality, performance, deadlines, PTO approvals, and disciplinary action along with day-to-day coaching
  • Manage Brokerage and Final Mile Compliance processes
  • Review and manage all SOPs for process improvements
  • Managed Claims processes thru Shared Services team.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of work experience with Compliance and 3 years. supervising 3 or more employees.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast growth environment.
  • Exceptional understanding of Compliance SOPs for onboarding and auditing processes.
  • Exceptional discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our senior management team.
  • Advanced in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced understanding of 3PL Last Mile delivery industry and insurance market.
  • Advanced understanding of USDOT FMCSA regulations and requirements.
  • Advanced understanding of Riverstone Contract Carrier Contract requirements.
  • Advanced personnel management skills.
  • Competent understanding of RLX purpose statement and core beliefs.
