Finance Compliance Accountant

Charlotte, NC

Full-Time | Individual Contributor Role

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for compliance and operational excellence? Our client is seeking an experienced
Finance Compliance Accountant
to join their team at our Americas Regional Headquarters in Charlotte, NC. This is a critical individual contributor role reporting directly to the Finance Manager, Sales and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate import duty and tariff codes in the material database
  • Support duty drawback filings using import records and ERP systems
  • Prepare segmented P&L reports for intercompany transfer pricing
  • Collaborate with the global tax team on cross-entity transfer pricing compliance
  • Assist with federal and state tax returns, compliance, and tax provision reviews
  • Contribute to annual plant budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting
  • Research and advise on US GAAP and IFRS compliance matters
  • Conduct internal audits on monthly accounting reconciliations
  • Support inventory control, including cycle counts and physical inventory
  • Analyze operational efficiencies and support productivity initiatives
  • Perform material cost and product profitability analysis
  • Assist with month-end close and government/audit reporting
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and support various finance-related tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • CPA certification (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in audit, tax, or regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies
  • Advanced Excel skills; ERP standard costing experience is a plus
