Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/Warehouse worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries and picking orders in a cooler warehouse. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate delivery vehicles efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive delivery vehicles to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing GPS or maps as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Handle heavy lifting of packages and equipment, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.
  • Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for moving large or heavy items as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and route driving is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing delivery schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
