Job Responsibilities
This roleis responsible forleadingthe digital and technologyorganizationwhosupports all corporate functions, including finance, procurement, sales operations, communications, marketing,human resources, legal,facilities,quality, andcompliance. Syneos Health Technology Solutionsoperatesa scaledagile,product-centric operating model. The leader will directlylead and developproduct managers, designers, business analysts, solution architects, and data andAIresourcesand leverage capabilities delivered by horizontal capabilities including enterprise data,engineering,core technology, and security. The leader will partner closely with each functionand 3rdparties who provide technology application management servicesto ensure the most efficient and effective technology operating model.
We are looking for anAI-experienced leader to accelerate our AI implementation across thecorporatefunctions, partnering toidentifythe use cases that matter mostwhich will deliver value including prevention of issues, predictioncapabilities, and performance through automation.The leader will be a partner for leading through change,helping our organization adopt newwaysof working as new AIagenticsystems come online.
The portfolio of solutions including SaaS products as well as custom built applications, that are best in class capabilities enabling both clinical research and commercial services.Our work supports getting meaningful new medicines to patients faster, with greater positive impact.
TheVP of Corporate Technology is accountable forleading the technologyroadmapandmaintainingmultiyearforecastsin capital investment.This pivotal role,as part of product lifecycle management,will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure expectations are met with product delivery tied to results and long-term value realization
Jobresponsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:Developsandcommunicatesa cleartechnologystrategy foreach corporate functionconsideringuser experience,markettrends,customerneedsandbusinessobjectives.Partnerswith key business leaders to assess needs and solutionsfor thedomain.Continuallyassessingproductfit, industry trends, competitivelandscapeand price. Anticipatesopportunitiesandpotentialthreats.Actsasanadvisortothebusinesstosupportneeds and/or productenhancementsincluding innovation with data-driven insights.
- Product Management:Managesand supportsproduct/applicationteam that evaluatescurrent offerings, researches the options to solve the ask (build, buy or license)and socializes theoptimalapproachwith senior leadershipwith data-driven insights.Maintains multi-yearroadmaps.Focused on infusing AI into applications and scale up.
- Business Case Development:Usingresearchanddetailed analysis (e.g.process engineering, AI experimentation), makesan effective case with internal stakeholders for why an investment should be made for a new capability. Gathersstakeholder feedback, justifies"the why",explains the benefits and presents a solid business case for review and approval.
- Strategic Communications:Translatesour technology offerings and capabilities tothe externalsenior customers and internal executiveleaders.As a member of the CDIO office,willbe apointofcontactforbiddefenses,capabilitypresentations,and customer meetingsrepresentingdigital capabilities at Syneos Health.Works to align digital and techorganizationtobusiness development requests for support.
- EnterpriseApplications,Data and Analytics, and AI: Oversees the management, integration, andutilizationof enterprise applicationsincluding ERP (Oracle Fusion, Workday), and Sales Enablement (Salesforce), and data integrationcapability (Oracle Integration Cloud), andcustom-builtapplications on Oracle Apex / PLSQL.Responsible for data integrationand data sciencepoweringreporting and analytics across functions.Develop AI and agentic strategy for corporate functions.
- Sales Enablement: EnablesSyneos go-to-market teamsprocesses end to end, from opportunity identification through to proposals and customer relationship management.Works with communications and the broader CDIO team to enable the sales organization with digital trainingto ensure readinessto adoptAI systems.
- Technology Delivery and Performance:Accountable for effectivemanagementof products/applicaitons; worksclosely withCDIO LT andfunctional leaders (engineering, data science, master data management, marketing,compliance,governanceandothers)tounderstandtimelines,prioritiesandtrade-offsasnecessary.Partnerstoremovebarriers&mitigaterisktosuccessasagreedwithcustomersbyrapidly addressingissues or roadblocks to reduce risk and value leakagetosupportfullvaluethroughout the product development lifecycle.
- Team Leadership:Managesthe department and global teams accountable for the delivery of the strategy& abilityto meet customer needs while providing strong customer service both internally and externally. Responsibilities include line management, performance management, and professional development for those employees along with interviewing and onboarding new team members.Workswithpeerstoassesscross-productsynergyacrossdomains.Ensureproducts work well together to fit enterprise needs.Manages 3rdparties who deliver both application development and maintenance services.
- Thought Leadership:Bethought leaderin their area of expertise;participatein industry meetingsand conferences; be at the forefront of innovation.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards,maintainingintegrity and security.
QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS(pleaseindicateif'preferred')
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g.,Product Management,Artificial Intelligence,Engineering,Computer Science,Data Science,Information Technology, Business);MS/MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven ability to implement digital operating models and product-centric technology organizations.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, ERP applications,and with a clinical trial and/or healthcare focus. Proven experience in product management witha track recordof successfully leading technology product teams directly and in a matrix environment.
- Experience working across multiple, seniorstakeholders to deliver results while working with external customers. Experience managing high performing teams. Global experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proactive, willing to bring the team together to foster a productiveteamdialogue, able to articulate product vision with ease.
- Global leadership experience witha diversefocus,ability to work in a heavily matrixed environment while leading a high performing team.
- Background in technology, datascienceand business management.
- A deep knowledge of customers (e.g., Why do they use the product? What are their problems? What are the barriers tovalue?)
- Intensely curious and self-driven
- Ability to think holisticallyregardingbusiness needs and align to value, active listener for declared and undeclared needs.
- Strong business acumen; ability to lead through change and drive adoption.

Salary Range:
$204, $378,600.00
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
