Overview:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing engaging, brand-aligned content across all social media platforms to promote apartment communities, highlight resident experiences, and drive qualified leasing leads. This role blends creativity, marketing strategy, and property-level insight to enhance brand visibility and resident engagement.
Core Responsibilities
The Marketing Coordinator will:
• Develop a strong understanding of GSC's portfolio, products, and locations
• Stay current on marketing, advertising, and social media trends to identify new opportunities
• Provide creative and administrative support to the Marketing Department
• Ensure timely project execution and effective communication across departments and site-level teams
• Enhance resident engagement through event & social content initiatives
• Contribute ideas that strengthen the GSC brand and align with company goals
Job Responsibilities by Category
Project & Departmental Coordination
• Prepare office supply needs
• Serve as a key point of contact for corporate, regional, and site-level employees, providing accurate and timely support
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of GSC products, properties, and brand standards
Advertising
• Oversee social media sponsored ad proposals and budgets, ensuring clear ROI metrics
Social Media Campaigns: Content Creation & Strategy
• Identify and leverage emerging social media trends, tools, and technologies
• Assist in the execution of GSC's Social Media Program, including content guidelines and posting strategies
• Create photo, video, and written content that highlights community amenities, apartment features, local lifestyle, and resident events
• Write engaging captions and posts consistent with GSC's brand voice and tone
• Ensure digital content is visually cohesive, representative of each property, and aligned with company brand standards
Social Media Management
• Manage content calendars and posting schedules for all properties, across multiple platforms
• Monitor and moderate social media responses with professional, brand-consistent communication
• Collaborate with onsite teams to identify influencer partnerships and community contributor content opportunities
• Review Yext content for AI searchability recommendations and apply changes for increased property benchmarking
• Review Yext Social content submissions and review for approval and posting, providing feedback and edits as needed
Social Media Data Analysis & Application
• Track and analyze performance metrics (engagement, follower growth, impressions, reach)
• Present data insights and recommendations to the Marketing Executive Cabinet
• Use Yext Social data to create content that meets or exceeds engagement benchmarksResident Engagement & Site-Level Support
• Maintain and manage the Resident Event Calendar
• Oversee resident event planning and budgeting for assigned communities
• Collaborate with property teams to ensure events align with GSC standards, offer creative concepts, and deliver measurable ROI
• Report on event performance and participation to the Executive Cabinet
• Conduct onsite aesthetic reviews using GSC's online WOW Checklist
Marketing Department Support
• Respond to Ratings and Reviews in the absence of the Digital Marketing Specialist
• Maintain organized property folders and digital assets in OneDrive
• Assist with digital marketing projects and other department initiatives as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proficiency in major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
• Strong creative writing and storytelling abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel
• Organizational and time management skills
• Basic videography and video editing skills
• Data analysis and reporting capabilities

• Higher website traffic and leasing inquiries generated from digital channels
• Strengthened brand reputation and resident engagement online
• Consistent, visually cohesive content across all communities
• Ensure there are quarterly resident events for assigned properties, with increased Google Review participation
