Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Part-Time in Decatur, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols and maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you will primarily be on patrol in a vehicle. You will interact with individuals on-site, providing outstanding customer service while responding to security-related situations. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and authorizations as required.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
