Job Description:

Perla's Pizza is seeking a skilled and motivated Pizza Line Cook to join our reopening team in Winter Park. As a pizza cook, you'll be responsible for preparing hand-crafted pizzas using fresh dough, scratch-made sauces, and high-quality toppings, all while maintaining speed and consistency. You'll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service, clean execution, and uphold the standards that Perla's Pizza is known for.

We're looking for team players with a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and a passion for pizza and hospitality. Experience working with high-hydration doughs, wood-fired or deck ovens, and fast-casual environments is preferred but not required. Applicants must be able to work late-night shifts.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities:

Prep & Production

  • Stretch dough by hand to spec and prepare pizzas to order
  • Maintain quality and portioning of all toppings and ingredients
  • Prep sauces, cheese, vegetables, and proteins daily according to par levels
  • Monitor proofing, fermentation, and dough rotation

Line Execution

  • Operate ovens and cook pizzas to order with proper doneness, color, and crispness
  • Dress pizzas post-oven with finishing garnishes when required
  • Communicate clearly with other stations and expedite as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization during service

Cleanliness & Maintenance

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Clean and sanitize station before, during, and after service
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all food and ingredients
  • Assist with end-of-day breakdown and cleaning

Teamwork & Communication

  • Arrive on time and prepared for shifts
  • Communicate effectively with team and leadership
  • Take feedback and direction professionally
  • Jump in to help teammates during rushes or slow times

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years kitchen experience (pizza experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of dough handling and oven operation a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
