The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is the nation's leading non-profit organization dedicated to liver health and disease prevention. ALF promotes education, advocacy, support services and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.

PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE:

ALF is looking for a detail-oriented individual to help us build community engagement and cultivation via thanking and acknowledging our donors. The ideal candidate will have some administrative experience and knowledge of simple database searches.  

Hours can be flexible and will be planned and scheduled with your manager. There will be three (3) to five (5) hours of work each day. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the non-profit sector. This a PART-TIME opportunity is only in-person at our office located in Fairfield, NJ. 

This position reports to the National Senior Manager, Finance.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Administrative Support Coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks: 

  1. Production and proofing donor acknowledgement letters 
  1. Printing and processing acknowledgement letters and envelopes. 
  1. Review of online databases to determine addresses for family notifications.
  1. Assist with other administrative and miscellaneous tasks when needed/available 

SUPERVISION:   None 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong skills working with Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)  
  • Attention to detail 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • General office environment 
  • Ability to lift 5 – 10 lbs.
