Expected salary range of $153,000 to $170,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Responsibilities:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Principal Program Manager for End User Services (EUS) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of technical programs and projects. This position ensures alignment with business goals, promotes agile delivery practices, and fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams. The role requires strong program management expertise, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to drive complex initiatives from concept to completion.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Program & Portfolio Leadership
- Lead and manage large, complex programs and projects across the EUS portfolio.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle: kickoff, discovery, requirements gathering, scope confirmation, design/build, testing, deployment, and closure.
- Assign and manage project workloads for a team of program/project managers.
- Make timely decisions to maintain project momentum and strategic alignment.
Project Management Execution
- Apply project management fundamentals to support departmental and pillar-level initiatives.
- Track progress and milestones using established tools and methodologies.
- Implement KPIs to assess project health and performance.
- Maintain RAID logs for SOX change control compliance.
- Monitor project issues and propose solutions to ensure successful delivery.
Agile Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of agility and iterative development.
- Implement and refine agile processes to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Operate as a project consultant to ensure business requirements are met and solutions are delivered effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the IT PMO to align with corporate standards and governance.
- Collaborate with department and resource managers to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Facilitate internal and vendor communications to promote transparency and collaboration.
- Lead internal and external meetings to drive project progress and enable decision-making.
Reporting & Financial Oversight
- Generate and maintain comprehensive EUS portfolio and project reporting.
- Monitor and manage project and portfolio budgets, including reconciliation of staff hours, expenses, and vendor invoices.
- Conduct regular reviews of project deliverables to ensure scope and financial accountability.
- Provide bi-weekly status reports and facilitate monthly portfolio meetings.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Coach and mentor Business Analysts, System Administrators, and Project Managers.
- Provide performance feedback to line managers post-project completion.
- Promote a culture of consulting and solutioning with a focus on exceptional customer service.
Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Ensure technical documentation is current and audit-ready.
- Review and meet SLAs for tickets, tasks, user stories, and projects.
- Ensure systems have appropriate monitoring and disaster recovery plans.
- Identify and recommend best practices for team and departmental processes.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide regular status updates and presentations to EUS and IT Operations leadership.
- Escalate issues and concerns to leadership as appropriate.
- Act as a change catalyst, driving cultural transformation within EUS.
Innovation & Strategic Initiatives
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Undertake specialized projects and assignments as requested by EUS leadership.
- Make strategic recommendations for portfolio-wide improvements and risk mitigation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Security or related discipline and at least 8 to 10 years' experience in area of technical specialty; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- PMP certification required
- Proven experience managing large-scale technical programs and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Expertise in portfolio management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and IT governance frameworks.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow).
Qualifications:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree in IT, Security, Business or related discipline
- Change Management and/or other certifications that may be required by job focus
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to create value with advanced problem solving, financial/analytical, performance management, negotiation, and conflict management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team. Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, meet critical deadlines, communicate effectively, and foster culture of change
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies supporting technology
- Experience managing large-scale programs and projects spanning multiple technical teams
