Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Busser / Food Runner to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will facilitate smooth food service operations by delivering dishes from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately. This role is essential in ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests, supporting the service staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are key. This position offers an opportunity to grow within a vibrant culinary environment and develop valuable skills in customer service, food handling, and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prepared food items from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure accuracy of orders and proper presentation before serving
  • Assist servers with clearing plates, refilling beverages, and resetting tables as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
  • Support kitchen staff with basic food handling or preparation tasks if required
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth service flow
  • Adhere to all food safety standards and restaurant policies during food delivery and handling
  • Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests when necessary

Skills

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper serving techniques
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and guests
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Experience with banquet service, food preparation, or kitchen operations is advantageous
  • Ability to work well under pressure while ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
  • Work well under busy holiday season service
