SUMMARY:

Customer Service Representative plays a leadership role in support of our customer base, Sales Team, and remaining organization with the handling of incoming orders, the development of sales quotes for current and new accounts, and the support our customers' day to day needs. This individual will develop and maintain strong, positive communications with customers, other internal personnel, and others as needed to provide excellent customer service and insides sales services. To execute assigned sales and customer service projects and to maintain proper records and systems. This position will be a "hands-on" sales and sales support position requiring excellent inside and external coordination and communication efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to sales personnel in handling incoming orders and customer needs. This person needs to proactively ensure that day-to-day customer needs are met. This position should plan, prepare, coordinate, and execute assigned sales support activities in conjunction with the Director of Sales & Marketing, sales personnel, and other personnel as needed.
  • Lead the overall contract review process assuring the customer's purchase order requirement align with companies' assumptions.
  • Communicate to the Director of Sales and others on issues, contacts, and needs for accounts and account leads.
  • Execute assigned sales calls and other assigned sales activities in a timely, prompt manner. Promptly answer current and target client's questions and needs with accurate information.
  • Work cooperatively and coordinate with staff members and other required personnel. Accurately prepare reports and documents, order specifications and all other customer needs, and coordinate as needed with all other departments. All quality certification procedures currently in place, such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, must be followed. This position requires strong communication and coordination in a cooperative, positive environment.
  • Minimal travel to current and target accounts and trade shows.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with all other personnel in a supportive, positive team effort both at the Company and with customers, vendors, and the outside world. Attitudes and approaches to all personnel are to be positive, business-like, and results oriented.
  • Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop and implement needed collateral materials, internet support, and marketing support campaigns to solidify the Company's position and support sales development efforts.
  • Implement process improvements as related to core responsibilities such as contract review and order management.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum High school education required. A technical, industrial background is desired with 3-5 years or more of industrial sales and marketing experience in an industrial environment desired.
  • Incumbent must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP systems, such as Visual Manufacturing, is a plus. Must have a high level of energy, be results-oriented, confident, and have strong people skills. Must be able to establish and maintain a strong rapport and positive relationships with all levels of staff. Must be proactive and persistent and able to handle multiple projects and customers simultaneously and work within a very fast-paced team environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit and type on a computer with attention to detail for hours at a time.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to move about the campus with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lift a box of files, up to 35 lbs.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

  • While on the shop floor, must wear closed-toed shoes and safety glasses.
